9 Date Night Ideas for You and Your Partner | Date Night Ideas
I love weddings! But, weddings are only the start of your beautiful journey! Now you have the rest of your lives to be together and love one another! However, you should never stop searching for ways to romance your partner. Below are nine date night ideas for making sure that the engines are always running!
First of all, let’s get it straight. It doesn’t have to be a date “night.” It could be a date ‘day’ or a date ‘morning.’ The time doesn’t matter. It’s the fact that you and your loved one are together. Get back to the basics of why you two fell in love in the first place!
1) Dinner and a Movie Date
This is the tried and true date. It’s probably the first type of date you’ve ever been on. But that doesn’t mean that something so basic has to be boring! Make it a point to emphasize the fact that “dinner and a movie” is so cliche. Just like people who live in a tourist area go on a date to all the tourist traps. Make it an event and you two will be in love with just doing something so corny together!
2) Escape Room
Escape rooms have been around for a few years, but they are perfect if you want to get some excitement in your relationship. You two will have to work together and race against the clock to find a way out! They usually have a photo service and prizes for winners, so you and your partner will have something to take home for the memories.
3) Jar of Ideas
This is one of the best date night ideas, ever! You and your partner take scraps of paper and write different movies to watch, events to go to, or things to do on the paper. Every time that you and your loved one can’t decide on something to do… Go to the Jar of Ideas!
4) Cook dinner together
This one is simple enough. You and your loved one get together and divide up the cooking. Work together to cook dinner and then you guys get to eat. Bring your appetite! You can make it super special if you get some twinkle lights or candles and/or eat outside! Then, if you really want to ride on the wild side, go out for dessert!
5) Go to a local art walk or farmers market
If it’s in season, your local art walk or farmers markets will be events that pop up from time to time. If you’re not sure where one might be in your area, I promise you, Google will know!
6) Go for a hike and pack an extra special lunch
This idea combines two awesome ideas! Going for a hike out in nature allows you two to get away from it all for a while and just be with each other. Packing lunch does two things. One, it allows you guys to stay out longer. And two, you get to do something sweet for your loved one, and feed them!
7) Go for a drive with your favorite playlist
Date’s don’t have to be super fancy. They can be really simple too! You can simply hop in your car, crank up your favorite music and go for a drive!
8) Walk the dog together and come back home for a night of board games
Again, fancy dates are nice, but they’re not necessary. Going for a walk together with your pets, and coming back for board games are a great idea! Break out those old classics like Clue or Monopoly, or for those of you more adventurous, Pandemic or Catan!
9) Meet up with friends at a local restaurant for adults night out
Well, I had to include a few fancy things on here, and I might as well finish off with food and drinks. Except, get your mutual friends involved. They’ll love the outing, and you’ll get to enjoy whatever your town has to offer! Just remember to drink responsibly and have a designated driver!
And that’s it! I hope you enjoyed these nine date night ideas and hopefully you’ll have some good times following them! Remember, it’s important to always date your partner, or your forever boyfriend/girlfriend!
